Traxxas E Maxx RTR Monster Truck

Product description

Traxxas E Maxx Electric RTRThe Traxxas E-Maxx RTR Monster Truck is TBD.

Do you want to experience for yourself what other industry professionals have known for some time--that the Traxxas EMaxx RTR Monster Truck is arguable the best electric monster turck available?  Steep climbs while maintaining speed and balance, neat landings coming off of incredible jumps, curve-hugging steering, and rugged dependability are all marks of the Traxxas E Maxx.

With Twin Titan ® 550 motors and a 14.4V power system, who could doubt the power and performance capabilities?  Great traction control is made possible via the adjustable slipper clutch while the two-speed transmission provides either a low gear for maximizing acceleration and a high gear to propel the E-Maxx EVX-2 to even higher speeds.

And, then, there's the forward/reverse speed control for those times when you accidentally (or on purpose if you're a glutton for punishment) run the Traxxas E Maxx RTR into a tree and need to back out of a jam.

The electric Traxxas E Maxx has forward, reverse, and braking capabilities and a two-speed transmission with plenty of ground clearance for all of the obstacles we are sure you are going to attempt to run over as you enjoy your new E-Maxx.

Product Research

The general online consensus for the Electric Traxxas E Maxx RTR Monster Truck is that it is a great starter truck for a beginner and it has many hop-ups available.  Users seemed very happy with their purchase overall.  Many, but certainly not all, of the negative reviews for the E-Maxx Monster Truck seemed to come from owners who were complaining that after repeatedly crashing their the E-Maxx into trees and light posts that it never ran right afterward and they had to spend some money to repair the damage.  Our response to those owners is "Duh!"  What did you expect?  The E-Maxx is certainly meant to handle bumpy and dirty off-road conditions with occasional jumps and potholes.  But, full-speed, high-impact collisions with large, high-mass, immovable objects like trees and light posts--yeah, you might not want to do that!  Come on, folks--it's basic physics.  Anyway, our point is that with a little common sense you can probably see that some of the what users complain about is not always based on reasonable expectations.  Not every RC truck is meant for extreme bashing.  Anyway, many users reported being very happy with the large availability of after market parts and hop-ups.  In addition, most people seem to be satisfied with the amount of ground clearance and huge amounts of torque from the engine.

Pros
  • Great for Beginners
  • All-Terrain
  • RTR
  • 4WD
Cons
  • Might need some repairs if you bash your E Maxx full speed into a tree (duh)

So, the handling is better in smooth to moderately-rough off-road surfaces and not as good in very rough off-road areas.  Also, the steering is not as good at extremely high speeds as some users would have liked.
